This album defined the post-rock genre, introducing Jónsi’s signature technique of playing the electric guitar with a cello bow. This creates a massive, washing wall of sound that is often described as "glacial." The Dolby Atmos mix expands this dense, reverb-heavy production into a cathedral-like experience, allowing the "Hopelandic" vocals and orchestral swells to envelop the listener completely

We select albums for their cultural relevance, emotional depth, rich textures, and technical detail—to ensure they sound their absolute best in our space.

no phones: anything that produces sound must be stored in our secure lockers.

no talk: we keep the soundroom silent so everyone can focus on the music.

no late entry: once the soundroom doors close (20 minutes after the booking time), we cannot let anyone in.
