Deep Listening in Resonance with the Work
Wednesday, August 12
8:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Wednesday, August 12 | 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm (90 mins)
A musical selection curated by the artist themselves around one of their works. Through a carefully constructed sonic collection, the atmospheres, references, and sensitivities surrounding that piece unfold, extending its universe beyond the visible. It is not about illustrating it, but about accompanying it: opening a space where sound makes it possible to inhabit it from another dimension and deepen its concept.
Hi-Fi Stereo
We play digital audio of the highest quality through our analog system: tube amplifiers and OJAS KO-R1 speakers. Designed by Devon Turnbull, the KO-R1 creates hyper-realistic and detailed, warm and natural soundscapes. They generate absolute presence in the sound. In our space designed for deep listening, you will discover hidden details, textures, and movements impossible to feel in headphones.
With a deep and sometimes heavy tempo, this brief selection of tracks aims to invite you to immerse yourself in a nostalgic feeling that we can associate with the pieces shown in Sona. "Many of these notes accompanied the conceptualization and creation process of the pieces, so in a way I feel they are part of their aura. Some songs could represent a narrative between characters that appear in the photos, while others seem to unfold metaphors around the concept of the work, where vestige, longing, and a possible shipwreck are some of the threads to follow"
Lateral, in collaboration with sona, presents an approach to the work of Pavka Segura. In her series A Particular and Windy Day, Pavka reflects on the photographic image, from the limits of the medium to venturing into diverse territories such as drawing, pictorial gesture, installation, and sculpture. Her work builds a narrative assemblage that evokes memory and its intersections with time, light, and the city.

no, but we recommend wearing something comfortable for sitting on the floor. because the room is very quiet, we recommend soft fabrics. try to avoid "noisy" synthetic materials like nylon or windbreakers, as the sound of moving in them can be distracting to others. also, we leave our shoes at the door, so we recommend wearing warm socks.
if you need a chair for medical or physical reasons, please let us know when you arrive.
yes, we serve a curated selection of non-alcoholic drinks and light snacks, but all refreshments must be finished before you enter the soundroom.
