MUTEK 22 - una escucha previa del lineup

A series of sessions curated by people and projects we admire. Brands, festivals, friends, and selectors invite us to listen through their ears. Here, what is heard matters as much as who chooses it.

We play digital audio of the highest quality through our analog system: tube amplifiers and OJAS KO-R1 speakers. Designed by Devon Turnbull, the KO-R1 creates hyper-realistic and detailed, warm and natural soundscapes.

They generate absolute presence in the sound.

In our space designed for deep listening, you will discover hidden details, textures, and movements impossible to feel in headphones.

A session for a first listen to recordings by the lineup’s artists. Before NOCTURNE begins, we’ll listen to a selection of artists from its 22nd edition. There are synthesizers, tape machines, prepared pianos, and rhythms ranging from club music to sound art, featuring musicians from Japan, Italy, the United States, France, Canada, Chile, and Mexico, including Lorenzo Senni, Kelly Moran, Open Reel Ensemble, and Dasha Rush. A chance to discover at your own pace what you’ll later hear live.

MUTEK MX is the international platform for digital creativity and electronic music that has accompanied, nurtured, and expanded the experimental scene in Mexico City since 2003. More than a festival, MUTEK MX functions as an active node within the city's cultural ecosystem: a meeting point where musicians, visual artists, designers, programmers, and audiences come together to imagine new relationships between sound, technology, and shared experience.

no phones: anything that produces sound must be stored in our secure lockers.

no talk: we keep the soundroom silent so everyone can focus on the music.

no late entry: once the soundroom doors close (20 minutes after the booking time), we cannot let anyone in.
