Essentials
Essentials is a curated journey by sona through the DNA of a musical icon. Instead of a single album, we choose key tracks from their entire career to create a continuous story. It's a time travel: in full presence, you can follow how the artist evolves and how their sound connects with the present.
Hi-Fi Stereo
We play digital audio of the highest quality through our analog system: tube amplifiers and OJAS KO-R1 speakers. Designed by Devon Turnbull, the KO-R1 creates hyper-realistic and detailed, warm and natural soundscapes. They generate absolute presence in the sound. In our space designed for deep listening, you will discover hidden details, textures, and movements impossible to feel in headphones.
why Nina Simone
One of the most singular voices in music history, Nina Simone still sounds strikingly present in a hi-fi experience. The weight of her piano, the texture of her voice, the silence between phrases; everything carries intention. She moved effortlessly between jazz, blues, folk, soul, and classical, never confined to one genre. From the political force of “Mississippi Goddam” to the intimacy of “Four Women,” her recordings feel urgent, raw, and deeply human. This essentials selection is power, vulnerability, and precision timeless and fully alive in the room.
