El Bueno y el Malo is the 2022 album by Swiss-Ecuadorian duo Hermanos Gutiérrez, produced by Dan Auerbach at his Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville. It’s their most expansive instrumental work yet, blending their signature guitar interplay—Estevan on electric guitar rhythms, Alejandro on melodic leads—with subtle additions like congas, castanets, strings, drums, and keyboards. Recorded live in the room to capture a raw, telepathic brotherly connection, it paints vast landscapes: deserts, sunrises, highways, and haunted frontiers, like a modern Morricone soundtrack for vaqueros and wanderers. Critics praised its hypnotic depth, earning a Grammy producer nod for Auerbach and Americana awards recognition.

We select albums for their cultural relevance, emotional depth, rich textures, and technical detail—to ensure they sound their absolute best in our space.
